IMAGE’IN made-to-measure pyramidal planter in fibre cement
# Paint and varnish finishes
We spray paint our tubs with liquid paint: primer + two-component PU finish and varnish (automotive-type system).
This technique offers great flexibility, allowing you to choose your colour from the standard RAL colour chart (excluding pearlescent, glitter and fluorescent colours) without any price difference. Please contact us to assess the feasibility of using colours from other colour charts. In any case, it will always be possible to countertype a sample of your supply to achieve the shade you want.
We also offer few finishes that are a little unusual, such as ‘Marron Oxyde Urbain’ to give a ‘rusty’ look, or the ‘Zinc’ patina. The latter is an option at extra cost.
Finally, all our planters are varnished as standard. The varnish comes in a choice of 4 finishes: matt, satin, gloss or micronised (also known as “sandblasted”). This latter provides optimum protection for the colour, particularly against UV rays, to ensure that the colours last over time.
# Options
You can add options to your rectangular flared planters, such as :
– System for anchoring to the ground ;
– Concealed handling castors with or without retractable braking feet; or visible braked castors (to ensure a minimum of stability, a base of at least 30x30cm and a limited height are recommended);
– Adjustable feet or pedestals;
– Installed on XPS buffers for a distributed anti-punching load.
Image’in is a range of planters with a contemporary, uncluttered style.
Made from Natura ® fibre cement, our flared planters are made to measure to suit your every need.

# Fibre cement
Fibre cement is a rot-proof and frost-proof material, which are major qualities for outdoor planters. What’s more, fibre cement is impervious to salty or chlorinated environments, making it ideal for use by the sea or near swimming pools.
Our fibre cement planters are quite heavy by nature and therefore stable in the wind, despite their narrow base. In the event of heavy exposure, you can add ballast to the bottom of the high tubs for safety.
Fibre cement is rigid; it will behave rather like pottery. This material is therefore suitable for reasonably sized planters with simple functions. For larger volumes and more complex systems, we offer our STEELAB planters in sheet metal.
# Pyramidal planter “IPP”
The format illustrated here, “IPP – Image’In Proportional Pyramid”, is a classic that can be produced in any size. Its characteristic shape is a 10% reduction on its height. For example, a 1.20m high tub, with a 50x50cm top section, will therefore have a base 12cm lower, i.e. 38x38cm.
A few formats are highlighted here to illustrate our manufacturing capabilities. Don’t limit yourself to these dimensions and let your imagination run wild!
# Installation
The flared planter rests on the ground on its periphery with a hollow joint at its base. The bottom is therefore slightly raised. This means a loss of useful height of around 10cm.
# Water management
In its classic configuration, the bottom is drained. A perforation in the base allows any excess water to drain away under the planter. However, other configurations are available as options:
– Horticultural drainage system with water reserve;
– Barbican for lateral drainage;
– Watertight base for indoor use;
– Open bottom for contact with the soil.
