Made-to-measure fibre cement thin planters
# Colours and finishes
We offer the IMAGE’IN square planter in all the colours on the standard RAL colour chart (excluding pearlescent, glitter and fluorescent shades).
Please contact us to assess the feasibility of using colours from other colour charts. In any case, it will always be possible to countertype a sample of your supply to achieve the shade you want.
We also offer few finishes that are a little unusual, such as ‘Marron Oxyde Urbain’ to give a ‘rusty’ look, or the ‘Zinc’ patina. The latter is an option at extra cost.
Finally, we varnish all our tubs for optimum colour protection, particularly against UV rays. This varnish is available in a choice of four finishes: matt, satin, gloss or micronised.
# Options and accessories
For added functionality, you can add a wide range of options to your planters, such as :
– System for anchoring to the ground ;
– Concealed handling castors or visible braked castors ;
– Adjustable feet or pedestals;
– Installed on XPS buffers for a distributed anti-punching load ;
…
The thin planters are part of the Image’In range of planters with a contemporary, uncluttered style.
Réalisées en fibre – ciment Natura ®, nos bacs sont produits sur mesure pour s’adapter à toutes vos envies. En relation directe avec le concepteur, nous vous assurons le meilleur accompagnement dans la définition du produit.
# The Fibre cement
Fibre cement is a rot-proof and frost-proof material, which are major qualities for outdoor planters. What’s more, fibre cement is impervious to salty or chlorinated environments, making it ideal for use by the sea or near swimming pools.
Our fibre cement planters are quite heavy by nature and therefore stable in the wind, despite their narrow base. In the event of heavy exposure, you can add ballast to the bottom of the high tubs for safety.
Fibre cement is rigid; it will behave rather like pottery. This material is therefore suitable for reasonably sized planters with simple functions. For larger volumes and more complex systems, we offer our STEELAB planters in sheet metal.
# The “IRF” fine planters
The format illustrated here “IRF – Image’In Rectangle Fin” is one of the most popular. In addition to its appealing design, it takes up very little space. This narrow format is ideal for small balconies or for delimiting terraces. It’s also in great demand as a privacy screen; it can be made in any length and height, so you can create real plant barriers to hide from onlookers and maintain your privacy.
A few planter sizes are highlighted here to showcase our manufacturing capabilities. Don’t limit yourself to these formats, let your imagination run wild… and ask for a quotation by indicating the length, width and height of the planters you require.
# Installation mode
The planter rests on the ground on its periphery with a hollow joint at its base. The bottom is therefore slightly raised. This means a loss of useful height of around 10cm. However, this wasted volume can be reduced if necessary to provide a sufficient quantity of soil.
# The water management
In its classic configuration, the bottom is drained. A perforation in the base allows any excess water to drain away under the plants container. However, other configurations are available as options:
– Horticultural drainage system with water reserve;
– Barbican for lateral drainage;
– Watertight base for indoor use.
