This is a magnificent and quite exceptional project for LE CREDAC: Centre d’Art Contemporain d’Ivry sur Seine. It was for a temporary exhibition that this set of STEELAB aluminium sheet metal planters was created, in the “SBA” range with removable growing trays. All our products are made to measure in France. This means that shapes, sizes, colours and finishes can be perfectly adapted to the needs of each landscaping project.
The choice of finishes is sober and designer, with this Black Brown RAL 8022 satin finish.
The idea here was to create a rice paddy. The height of the planters has been reduced to a useful 15cm. They are watertight and removable.
Their mitre-jointed aluminium covers (without welding) come in heights ranging from 60 to 200cm! They are bottomless and fitted with adjustable feet.

Description of the “SBA” product range
The bottomless exterior cladding is made up of mitre-jointed, seamless, powder-coated panels. The top edge is folded and counter-folded with a horizontal return to support the growing trays. Vertical reinforcements take the load right down to the ground.
The growing area is made up of one or more independent, removable trays in aluminium or untreated galvanised steel, depending on the requirements of the project.
The height of the growing tray can be chosen independently of the height of the planter. It is made from panels that are assembled, glued and riveted together. The top edge is finished with a fold and a counter-fold. The cladding panels are mitred at the vertical edges or positioned at the most appropriate points depending on the layout (side walls, rear corners, etc.). All fixing and locking components are concealed once the planter is assembled.

Black Brown RAL 8002 satin finish.
Water management
Grow trough with watertight base for indoor use in this case. Overflow water can be collected via a connection through the partition at the bottom of the planter (optional).
