Made-to-measure IMAGE’IN large planters in fibre cement
# The colours & finishes
We offer all the colours on the standard RAL colour chart (excluding pearlescent, glitter and fluorescent colours) for IMAGE’IN big planters. As an option, we can also work outside the RAL colour chart or match a sample.
More specific finishes are also available, such as “Marron Oxyde Urbain” for a “rusty” look, or the Zinc imitation Patina (optional at extra cost).
Finally, all our planters are varnished as standard in matt, satin, gloss or micronised (also known as “sandblasted”) finishes to provide optimum colour protection, particularly against UV rays.
# The Options & Accessories
You can add options to your large planters to provide the functionality you need, such as :
– System for anchoring to the ground ;
– Concealed handling castors with or without retractable braking feet; or visible braked castors – Please note, however, that these “castor” options will not be available on too large volume planters in this IMAGE’IN range. Sheet metal planters from our STEELAB range are preferable;
– Adjustable feet or pedestals;
– Installed on XPS buffers for a distributed anti-punching load.
Image’in big planters have a contemporary, uncluttered style.
Made from Natura ® fibre cement, our pots are made to measure to suit your every need. In direct contact with the designer, we can provide you with the best possible support in defining your product.
# Fiber cement
Fibre cement is a rot-proof and frost-proof material, which are major qualities for outdoor planters. What’s more, fibre cement is impervious to salty or chlorinated environments, making it ideal for use by the sea or near swimming pools.
Our large fibre cement planters are particularly heavy. You’ll need to plan ahead for handling and check the permissible loads. However, this makes them the perfect solution for locations exposed to strong winds.
Fibre cement is rigid; it will behave rather like pottery. This material is therefore suitable for reasonably sized planters with simple functions. For larger volumes and more complex systems, we offer our STEELAB planters in sheet metal.
# The Large rectangular planters “IRG”
The format illustrated here: “IRG – Image’In Rectangle Gros” corresponds to the largest planters in the range. It offers large enough volumes for more imposing plants such as shrubs to create a hedge, or non-tracking bamboo to form a view breaker…
We are highlighting a few formats here to showcase our manufacturing capabilities. Don’t limit yourself to these sizes, let your imagination run wild…
# Installation
The flared planter rests on the ground on its periphery with a hollow joint at its base. The bottom is therefore slightly raised. This means a loss of useful height of around 10cm.
# Water management
In standard configuration, the bottom is drained. A perforation in the base allows any excess water to drain away under the planter. However, other configurations are available as options:
– Horticultural drainage system with water reserve;
– Barbican for lateral drainage;
– Watertight base for indoor use;
– Open bottom for contact with the soil.
