Lighting designer : Lyum – http://www.lyum-concept.com
The objective here is to put in place a dynamic lighting favoring two points of view: the near vision, in the inner courtyard, and the distant and semi-distant vision when one is on the other side of the Loire river or in the castle park of Chaumont-sur-Loire.
The lighting is focused on two points of view:
-First, a warm and welcoming light near the castle, giving a second life to the building, and highlighting the architectural details, mixing fortress of the Middle Ages and Renaissance castle.
-On the second, a cold and powerful light highlighting the volume and shape for a distant observation.
Moreover, dynamic lighting allows a variation of styles according to the events or the periods of the year. Thus, the castle of Chaumont-sur-Loire is draped in a red coat at the beginning of autumn, and become green as its gardens during the summer festival.
