STEELAB garden boxes are made in France to measure, to the dimensions and colours requested. Manufactured in aluminium, they can be made to any size. Thanks to its flexibility and lightness, this material can be used to make large enclosures without any problems with handling or the flatness of the ground.

Our storage boxes and lids are made from lacquered aluminium, welded and reworked for an optimum finish. The lacquered aluminium lid offers a light, watertight closing solution for your garden chests. Dimensions can be adjusted for mixed use as a chest and bench too.
The lid is mounted on hinges that are invisible when the box is closed. This one is held in the open position by a compass with a locking pin.
As an option, “SOP-VERIN” cylinders can be added to help with lid handling. Cylinders are particularly recommended for large garden chests.
Moreovern a key or code lock is also available as an option – the “SOP-CLE” option.
Material – Aluminium sheet metal
Lacquered aluminium, 3 mm thick or thicker depending on size.

Ground installation on weight distribution buffer (anti-punching).
Or even as option : Installation on concealed casters (SOP-RL) or on adjustable support pedestals (SOP-PLOT).
Ventilation & Watertightness
SAS-COCC” and “SAS-CO” boxes with perforated bottom for good ventilation; watertight box closure with aluminium cover / non-watertight with “SOP-ASSB” wooden top.
All Colours and Finishes
Steelab offers two painted finishes:
– Liquid paint: High-performance primer + Two-component PU finish + Varnish in matt, satin, gloss or micronised/sanded finish.
– Powder-coated with a satin/matt, gloss or micronised/sanded finish.
Each technique has its own relevance depending on the project and will allow a choice of colour from the standard RAL colour chart (excluding pearlescent, glitter and fluorescent). Other colours are optional.

The structure of the chest and the wooden top are sold separately: Set consisting of a “SAS-CO” chest and its “SOP-ASSB” lid.
The wooden cover is not watertight and is heavier than an aluminium cover.
It is better suited to use as a bench, offering comfortable seating and a warm design. The choice of untreated exotic wood offers great stability and durability.
The simple, hinge-free, removable closure provides access to storage space for items that are not sensitive to moisture.
Material – Closure wooden seat “SOP-ASSB”
Assembly of raw exotic wood slats (wood species according to available stock –
generally in IPE – Class 5 wood – FaS quality). The wood is left untreated ; its colour will gradually evolve and naturally tend towards a “silver-grey” hue.
Closure without hinges : separate element to lay on.
